About Sita Kund
Sita Kund is a holy water tank located near Vindhyachal in Mirzapur. According to Hindu mythology, this is where Goddess Sita bathed during her exile with Lord Rama and Lakshmana. The kund (pond) is surrounded by ancient temples and is considered very sacred by devotees.
The water in the kund is believed to have healing properties, and many devotees take a holy dip here, especially during Kartik Purnima and other auspicious occasions. The area around Sita Kund has been developed with ghats and walkways for pilgrims.
